Throwing and Trimming Plates : 1 Night Workshop

Throwing and Trimming Plates : 1 Night Workshop

When: Friday, April 5th | 6:00-9:00
Instructor: Forrest Lesch-Middelton |

While simple at first glance, a plate can be complex in both creation and concept. Join us for one night of throwing plates on the wheel. In this workshop you will learn tips and techniques to throw consistent plate forms in a variety of sizes, learn tips and tricks for altering shapes and rims, and talk about best practices for trimming and finishing plates in a variety of ways. Students will see demos on throwing and trimming, have some time to practice and ask questions and leave with new ideas to inspire future studio practice.

There is a Materials Fee of $15 which includes clay and bisque firing that will be collected the day of the workshop. This workshops must have at least four students to run and will be capped at 10.
Some experience is required. This workshop will be best suited to intermediate to advanced potters.
