Animal Busts - 1 Day Workshop - May
Ages: 15+ up
Instructor: Stephanie LeBaudour
Cost: $150
Skill Level: All levels, some experience is helpful but not required
Date: May 16 from 1:00m-5:00pm
Join sculptor Stephanie LeBaudour at our community studio for a sculptural animal busts intensive. Learn how to plan your piece using 2 dimensional reference material and then how to make those plans a reality in 3D. Stephanie will talk about structure, attachments, hollowing, surface considerations, and more. Arrive ready to get dirty wearing clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting clay on. You’ll get an email approx one week prior to class that will explain imagery and reference materials you should plan on bringing to class.
What to Expect
Your instructor will give a demo and then help you create your own detailed, medium sized animal bust. All skill levels are welcome but some pottery or sculpture experience is helpful. After your class your work will be dried thoroughly, fired, and ready for pick up usually within 2-3 weeks.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note a minimum of 4 people is required for most classes to run. If you’ve enrolled and we don’t reach the minimum you will be issued a full refund. If you sign up and then are unable to attend for any reason there are no available refunds or credits unless we can fill your spot with someone on the waitlist, so the sooner you can let us know the better. If we have to fill your spot with someone from the waitlist there is a $15 processing fee to account for our time as well as web fees we can’t recoup. You may also opt to send someone in your stead if you cannot make it, just let us know prior to class so we can update our rosters.
If you have questions about our cancellation policy please email us before signing up.
We will send you an email with other logistics and FAQs a few days before date night! In the meantime, please email petalumapottery@gmail.com if you have any questions about classes or enrollment.
