Skill Level: Level 2. Pre-requisite: You must confidently be able to center 2 pounds of clay and be able to throw basic bowls and cylinders.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
In this two-part class students will learn the ins and outs of throwing larger pieces by joining two parts thrown on the wheel to create a bigger vessel.
During week one (August 16) students will be on the wheel learning to plan, throw, measure, and join their parts.
During week two (August 23) students will learn trimming and finishing techniques. Students will also talk about how to effectively glaze larger pieces in the glaze room.

What to Expect
Your instructor will give a demo and then help you create your own two part larger vessel. This class comes with 15 pounds of clay and firing one piece at the end of class. If you aren’t a member or a student at our studio and would like your piece to be glazed by our staff we can do so for you at $8 per piece.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note a minimum of 4 people is required for most classes to run. If you’ve enrolled and we don’t reach the minimum you will be issued a full refund. If you sign up and then are unable to attend for any reason there are no available refunds or credits unless we can fill your spot with someone on the waitlist, so the sooner you can let us know the better. If we have to fill your spot with someone from the waitlist there is a $15 processing fee to account for our time as well as web fees we can’t recoup. You are welcome to send someone in your stead if you cannot make it, just let us know prior to class so we can update our rosters.
