Skill Level: Level 2 | Students should confidently be able to center 5 pounds of clay and feel comfortable on the wheel.
Dates: October 18 + 25 from 10:00-1:00 each day.

Class Description: In this two day class students will learn to throw larger serving vessels on the wheel just in time for the upcoming holiday season. The class will focus on platters and bowls with the first class dedicated to throwing and the second class focused on trimming, finishing, and attachments and include a conversation about glazing large & wide pieces.
This class comes with one hour of open studio time to trim or glaze your pieces which can be used in the weeks following class. It comes with enough studio reclaim clay to make two pieces. This class is hands on, come ready to get your hands dirty!

What to Expect
Your instructor will give a demo and then help you create your own platters. After your class you will have one hour of open studio time to come in and trim or glaze your work. Your work will be glazed, fired, and ready for pick up within a few weeks using the glazes you choose during your class. If you are a current 8 week student or member you are welcome to glaze your own pieces.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note a minimum of 4 people is required for most classes to run. If you’ve enrolled and we don’t reach the minimum you will be issued a full refund. If you sign up and then are unable to attend for any reason there are no available refunds or credits unless we can fill your spot with someone on the waitlist, so the sooner you can let us know the better. If we have to fill your spot with someone from the waitlist there is a $15 processing fee to account for our time as well as web fees we can’t recoup. You are welcome to send someone in your stead if you cannot make it, just let us know prior to class so we can update our rosters.
